RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for supervising a team of Commercial Liability adjusters
- Actively participates with adjuster roles and leads adjuster training
- Manages adjuster claims and performance
- Assist with auditing claim files in accordance to Best Practices
- Drives metrics and key performance indicators
- Manages and directs litigation and complex injury files
- Works collaboratively with management and HR
- Responsible for driving customer service and working with brokers and agents
- Identify coaching opportunities and performance manage
Required
- High school diploma.
- Has Commercial Auto Insurance Claims Handling Experience
- Min. 1-2 years supervising and leading others
- 4 or more years related claim experience required.
- Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled.
- Knowledge of all team member related functions.
- Highly Organized and excellent time management skills required
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree.

Position Summary:
As a Commercial Auto Senior Injury Adjuster, you will have an opportunity to work in our Commercial 2ndLine Unit in our Westlake, TX office. You will manage and adjust low to high severity BI claims. We are looking for dynamic individuals with a strong work ethic to come and join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Drives metrics and key performance indicators
- Manages and directs litigation and complex injury files
- Investigates coverage, conducts investigations and determines liability
- Interviews insureds, claimants, witnesses and all other relevant parties
- Responsible for driving customer service and working with brokers and agents
- Identify coaching opportunities and performance manage
- Attends mediations and trials as appropriate
- Negotiates and settles claims within the policy limits
- Adjust and suggest appropriate reserves for files
- Responsible for adhering to the company’s Best Practices
- Attend roundtables, answer and respond to arbitrations and attends suit committees as appropriate
Required
- High school diploma.

Experience
- Membership in the Texas Bar.
- Appropriate special licenses to practice before boards or federal courts preferred.
- A minimum of three years of successful experience conducting discovery, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, hearings and trials.
- Experience representing insureds and working with insurance companies.

Responsibilities
- Review outside counsel legal bills to ensure compliance with litigation guidelines
- Communicate with outside counsel on billing issues and disputes
- Assist in-house counsel in reviewing and negotiating contracts at the direction of our in-house lawyers where appropriate, including non-disclosure agreements, marketing agreements and vendor agreements
- Assist with strategic transactions, including providing due diligence support, data management, and preparing and organizing documents and files
- Assist in drafting and preparing responses to requests for information from various government agencies
- Assist with eDiscovery, including creating litigation holds and collecting emails, documents, and other data
- Collaborate with adjuster teams on budgets, legal expenses, and litigated claim files
- Provide administrative support to in house legal department
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of law firm operations, billing, and time accounting
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, case management databases is preferred. Understanding of insurance practice civil defense in state courts and agencies and understanding of both personal and commercial lines policies is preferred
- Knowledge of incorporations, corporate maintenance, and corporate diligence a preferred.
- Ability to negotiate and form compelling arguments based on available facts
